Type 1 Diabetes risk factors:
Type 1 Diabetes can occur at any age but usually develops during childhood and adolescence. It is less common than Type 2 Diabetes and risk chance is equal in males and females. The main risk factor associated with Type 1 Diabetes is the genetic factor (when it runs in the family). 
Type 2 Diabetes risk factors:
Type 2 Diabetes is the most common form of Diabetes that typically occurs at adulthood but can also occur in childhood or at any age. It is part of group of diseases known as civilization syndrome (such as high blood pressure, high blood lipids, as well as Diabetes) because of the modern lifestyle.
